Looks like truck bed liner or some type of spray on texture finish (note the overspray in the port)

Yep. 35x20x12. You could build the whole thing for $300, including the Line-X.

DUUUUHHH! I feel stupid. I know what that stuff is. Same as Rhino or Diamond Liner. Hell we've even got a shop for that down the street. I was thinking it was some kind of vinyl liner or something. :o

Walmart also sells it in a roller form as well as a aerosal can...

I personally don't like the look of bed liner on my speakers...

I'm a fan of grill cloth + caps...

Normally Id agree with you but this looks to be done very well and looks great.

I bet it would be a **** to get it sprayed or brushed on there and still leave it seemless.

The DIY bedliners don't look good at all in my opinion. The line-x is a very finr finish unlike Rhino and bullhide. It has a totally different look. Also, the guy who sprays mine makes sure it is extremely uniform and fine in texture. I also tried all the other brands out, they don't even begin to compare with the Line-x finish and durability. The pictures just don't show how good this stuff really looks.

the 3M rubberized undercoating is also nice - i built an outdoor coffee table / sub and after the box part (bottom of the table) was done, I undercoated it, and then I shot it with "el Cheapo" bed liner to give it a better look and texture... table top is painted with that "American Creations Stone Texture Paint" and has about 15 coats of clear over it.
