hey
i just bought a newer truck and i would lie to put some subs in it but i don't just want the box laying on the seat. has anyone heard of anyone puting them uner the back seat? it foldes down so i don't know how i would be able to lift the back seat. also what are the best sub that uses the smallest space able that give good hard bass? i'm wanting to put the sub in the back under the seat but if anyone has any better ideas it would be thankfull

Oh yeah! Putting subs under the rear seats in an extended cab truck is the only way to do it. Ive got a MM2104 under mine right now (02 Ram quad cab).

The smalles box requirements that I know of is for Image Dynamics IDQ series.

Not sure of your particular set up, but I know that JL Audio makes a Stealh Box that fits inside your center console, (armrest area)....that is how we went with my buddy's F-350 Harley Edition. Very clean set up w/ ample bass......

The IDQ is more of a SQ sub but it still gets pretty loud.

Crossfire and Orion both make subs thatll pound very hard and work in a .4 box which is very small for a 10!

    Crossfire BMF subs.

    Orion P series subs.

I did this under the back seat a few months ago. I used the Adire Koda 8's. About .25ft3 sealed heavily stuffed with Dacron. Took up no room and sounded great.... I used RE8s and a Image Dynamics in boxes this size before and they both worked well. The RE8's have an almost perfect sealed Q for car audio in .25ft3 each...

I see youre having to deal with that idiotic under seat area of the Ram too. Its cause me plenty of ulcers. If it was just flat under there I could have all kinds of room to do all kinds of ****.

Yeah, I know what you mean. Those boxes had to be all kinds of wierd angles to fit in there properly. It was a pain to build them. And, unless you glass that area in, there really isn't a lot of airspace to work with if you want to keep everything flush with the lip down there....
