What were you hoping to spend? I got loads of open box dvd players at work, and I know there's a couple 578's. I could probably talk the bossman into dumping one for you.

Thanks so much. But am I correct in thinking the 578 was the replacement for the 563? If so I think the 578 was actually a downgraded unit.

Greg, the 578 was the replacement for the 563. I don't think it was downgraded from the 563 though. I know the 578 actually has a faster 12-bit-108MHz video converter..

I really don't know if it's a downgrade or not. It is the replacement though. I was swamped at work so I didn't get to check on a deal for you. Hopefully tomorrow.

Well much to my chagrin, I grabbed a 563 off ebay for $65. Just wait and see time now.
