I'd wait until you can go up the food chain a couple more notches. What are the Velodyne CHT-12's going for on ebay?

For $200, you can't do better. Sure there are better and bigger subs out there, but no $200 sub will be able to handle MUSIC as delicate as that sub for the $200 mark.

I shopped around for 3months before plopping my cash down. The sub is discontinued in favor of the new "DPS" subs with digital signal processing (worthless imo)- same drivers, same amp, different box with DSP. Buy the CHT while you can.

I've been auditioning the DPS10 for about 3 weeks. It's a nice sounding sub, but I agree, the only DSP settings that make sense are Movies and Jazz/Classical. The idiot light volume control is a poor design. It's going back next week.

    Combo rig:

Onkyo NR1007 pre-pro, Carver TFM 45(fronts), Carver TFM 35 (surrounds)
    SDA 1C, CS400i, SDA 2B
    PB13Ultra RO
    BW Silvers
