I had to go with two MM2084s vs one MM2104 due to mounting depth restrictions.

Question - how are the two eights going to sound vs one ten? I am running them parallel off of a C500.1

Just got a load of gear. Man are those Polk amps beautifully built!

Regards,

Two 8's have more surface than a single 10.............My brother has (8) 6 inch drivers custom mounted in the front (trunk) of his older model 911 and it sounds great. Tight and to the point.........

The 10 would play into the lower frequencies better than the 8's. The volume will be the same though.

    How much better?

I have a factory JBL system with sub/amp and it is an 8". Junk but better than nothing. The Polk gear is going to be heads above the OEM stuff.

I ran an 8 in my Ram for over 2 years. It was an MTX Thunder6000 which is a very good one. I recently got a MM2104 and have noticed not only am I hearing bass notes I never heard before but Im also FEELING bass notes I never felt before. The bass is still very tight and sounds great. Im sold on 10's now.

I wouldnt sweat it thought. 2 8's will be more surface area and more power than the single 8 I got used to so I dont think it would be that much of a difference.
