Rti8's For Mains And Surrounds?
I HAVE A HARMANKARDON 7300. (AMPLE POWER). JUST PICKED UP A CSI5 CENTER. HAVE A GOOD SUB SOON TO BE REPLACED WITH EVEN BETTER. DON'T NEED SUB-BASS COMING FROM FLOORSTANDERS. AND HOW BALANCED WOULD RTI8'S BE ALL AROUND? OVERKILL? PERFECTION? DON'T REALLY CARE FOR FXI SERIES/DIPOLE SET-UP. SO, SHOULD I GET RTI6'S FOR SURROUNDS OR WOULD I BEST SERVED WITH 8'S ALL AROUND? MONEY OF LITTLE CONCERN FOR ME. NEVER HEARD OF ANYONE WHO HAS DONE THIS. SEEMS TO MAKE PERFECT SENSE TO ME. ESPECIALLY FOR MUSIC.

yes - do it...
nothing beats large, full range surrounds. EVER.- Not Tom ::::::: Any system can play Diana Krall. Only the best can play Limp Bizkit. -
well, i considered getting rti10's all around, but felt less compelled to do so not because of price, but because of the better reviews of the mids and highs of the rti8's. again, i WILL end up buying a super-duper sub soon enough. the sub-bass i want is omnidirectional so i don't need the super lows eminating from behind me, as they are already there via the sub. plus the csi5 and rti8's all have dual 6 1/2 inch drivers to handle everything the sub won't. that is my definition of uniformality. best matching speakers i can imagine that polk has to offer in the price range.
