MM465's

Recently bought and installed 465's for my Cutlass. Amp is Jensen A432HLX (500 w total,4 CH), stock fronts (unamped), JVC LX-50 head unit--performance is generally OK, but at what I consider reasonable listening levels, MOMO's have trouble with certain Pink Floyd types of lows. Alpine bandpass sub on the way--will this help the low end issues, or is this just a tuning of components issue? Gain control less than 1/4. Comments suggestions, etc

Where are you setting the crossover on your Jensen amp? How many watts RMS are you giving the momos? Did you adjust your EQ on your head unit?Testing

50W RMS per CH set on 2 CH mode--Crossovers are just LO, HI, and FLAT. Adjusted Eq--it helps but I miss the extra lows

You'd get better sound (bass) from the comps by running a more powerful amp to the speakers. If you get an amp that has more control of the crossover point, at 12db or better 24db slope, they will sound better at louder volumes also. Make sure the front part of the speaker is sealed from the back.Testing

What about adjusting the gain upwards a bit?
