hi

I would like to know about your opinions of the Rti8 Speeker.
I already have the Psw-404 Subwoofer and I want to finish my home theatre system with the rti8.

Thanks

Forget the RTi8 and pick up a used pair of RT55i instead along with a good set of stands. You'll thank me later!

Speakers are difficult to describe by themselves and it is better to listen and compare models. Having said that, I think that they sound well balanced and lean toward the brighter end of the spectrum when compared to say the Monitor 70s. Do they sound better? that depends if you like a more laid back sound or prefer a brighter one. Compare to the RTi10, they have a clearer midrange but dont go quite as low (a sub can easily compensate for this). I dont recommend you compare them to the RTi12.

A good equalizer is often useful because one can emphasize certain frequencies for different types of music Rock, Jazz Classical etc. and cancel the effect of the amplifier response which is not often flat given that receivers of different brands will sound different with the same speakers.

It would be almost impossible to find that pair of speakers here in Argentina..

Does the Rti 10 worth the diference?

    Thanks

The RTi8 is a good match for the psw404, the rti10's would have more bass but with the 404 i think that would take care of it.. Sometimes people want to add to the question instead of answering it.. The rt55's are nice i had a set, but hard to find and getting outdated.. The rti8's and 10's are new and match the estetics of the 404 better and the sound.. IMO..

MB -- what size room do you have?

If you have a medium to large room and plenty of power, go with the 10's. If you're going to run the speakers off a receiver, go with the 8's.
