Too many Polks...
I have found myself in a situation with too many Polk speakers and can't figure out how to best use them. Ideally, Id like a matched set, but being on a budget, and on a few friends' 'hand me down' list this is what I have come up with.
2 RT600's
2 R50's
2 RT25 Bookshelf
2 R15 Bookshelf
1 MTX 10" 100 Watt Sub
1 KLH 10" 100 Watt Sub
1 Panasonic SEH-200 Receiver
(I dont recall the center channel #, but I know it was the second model up (from the entry level) and it was from the line of speakers when they first started putting the colored (red/white) Polk Audio logo on them, but not from the current line. It has 2 midrange speakers and tweeter.
I'd like to get advice on how to best use these for primarily movie viewing. Currently I have the R50's in the front, the RT600's in the rear in the corners about 4' behind and 4' to the sides of the primary listening area. The R15's are not being used, the RT25's are mounted on the wall about 2' from the ceiling about equal distance to the left and right of the listening area. I thought perhaps using the RT600's and RT15's in combination in the back I could get a more diffused effect?
Anyway, I have lots of options with all these mismatched speakers and I am pretty flexible on placement so any ideas would be welcome.
