George here's some info maybe you've already seen; take it FWIW. I've never personally heard them, but how can you can wrong w/ a song titled "Pissin' on a Skunk"

Down Beat (9/96, p.57) - 4.5 Stars - Very Good/Excellent - "The Saffire acoustic blues trio...doesn't so much perform songs as possess them on their fifth and best recording yet. They evince familiarity with the liberated spirit of 1920s classic blues/vaudeville foremothers while staying focused in the present on nine saucy originals..."

Dirty Linen (Apr/May 93, p.65) - "...Saffire sings the blues from a woman's perspective...It sounds like Saffire is having a good time and really getting enthusiastic about their brand of energetic acoustic guitar and piano blues...

New York Times (1/1/92) - "Post-feminist traditional blues, sung and played with gorgeous abandon."

Q (2/91) - Recommended as one of the five best blues albums of 1990. "...a Washington-based acoustic trio who state the case for the love rights of women `of a certain age' with formidable musicianship and slicing wit."

N.P. George, it piqued my interest as well. I'm always looking for new music.
