Found a pair of 11 t's Any good?
They are in nice shape except the grills are very dirty. They have a price of $600 for the pair. Sounds steep...but I think they will deal. Are these worth owning and at what price?
Thanks in advance,
Brad

See if you can talk them down a few hundred bucks.
Edit- they are VERY good speakers, but not for that price!Ludicrous gibs! -
nevermind...looks like 300 and lower would be a better price range."she had the body of Venus, with arms."

Those things listed for $990 MSRP in 1989. The guy's delerious.
I bought two pair new, and the most I paid for a pair was $290.
If you do score them for a fair price, the grilles can be cleaned pretty well by:
Put a small amount of laundry detergent in the bathtub, fill it with warm water till you can completely submerge a grille. Get a soft brush and go to town. Rinse with shower massager and set outside to dry. Minimum time in the water is recommended.

Thanks for the info guys. I have never heard them before...so even if I do get a good price, it's a crap shoot on sound.
Thanks again"she had the body of Venus, with arms." -
I've had my 11's since '87 and I really like them...mine are like new no scratches/dings/tears/original cartons never abused...perfect condition. I would never even consider getting the kind of money he is asking, he's a fool. If you can get them for $250 or less go for it. If I ever sell mine I most likely wont' get more than $300. I'd really work on him about the price because they are certainly great speaks......plus there's something to be said about buying speaks that don't have to be shipped

I purchased mine for (gulp) $350 on ebay and do not regret the purchase. $600 is too much $$$ for them.
I have listened to a variety of music thru them and expecially like the warmth of jazz thru them.
