Need advice on LSi9s stands and spkr match

I am in the process of putting together a home theater system and was impressed with the LSi9s at a local electronics store. My theater space will allow for the LSi9s for the fronts and was wondering what type of stand to use? I assume the height has an impact and most of the stands I've seen are pretty flimsy. I don't want my 2 year old to knock them over!

I would also be interested in an "experts" opinion on the compatibility of LSi9s with LC80i or LC60i in-ceiling speakers for the rear channel. I plan on using a LSiC for the center and maybe a Martin Logan Sub. Are the LCi and LSi series a good match? I don't have enough space to hang the LSi FX.

Suggestions on where best to locate a sub with this set-up?

Amp Suggestions in the $1200 range? Many of the reviews I've read complain the LSi9s suck power so I want to make sure I have enough.

Thanks in advance for any advice. I'm new to the audio scene but I know what I like when I hear it.

I love my Myryad amplifier and it's giving them 150w @ 4 ohm. Plenty of power, but it also has a power supply as big around as a softball. Look into Bryston, B&K, Rotel, Outlaw, Sunfire... I could go on for days. There's a lot of good amps out there on www.audiogon.com. Don't be scared to buy used, you'll usually get the best price that way. Plus, a lot of companies have transferable warranties (like Bryston's 20 year!!!).

I use the Sanus UF26 26" stands and filled them with an additional 15lbs of lead shot. They now weigh in at 30lbs for each stand before putting a speaker on it. Trust me, you'd need to have a 2 year old who knows how to football tackle to knock these puppies off. The LSiC would be ideal for the 9's.

Sub, the ML is a damn fine sub. I love my sunfire and most people here recommend the SVS.
Never kick a fresh **** on a hot day.

    Home Setup: Sony VPL-VW85 Projo, 92" Stewart Firehawk, Pioneer Elite SC-65, PS3, RTi12 fronts, CSi5, FXi6 rears, RTi6 surround backs, RTi4 height, MFW-15 Subwoofer.

Car Setup: OEM Radio, RF 360.2v2, Polk SR6500 quad amped off 4 Xtant 1.1 100w mono amps, Xtant 6.1 to run an eD 13av.2, all Stinger wiring and Raammat deadener.

You're gonna want a good separate amp if you want to grab a hold of the 9's woofers. No receiver - not even HK - can power it as well as a separate amp can.

    Get metal stands...

Fill them with something like sand...
    - Not Tom ::::::: Any system can play Diana Krall. Only the best can play Limp Bizkit.

Thanks for the advice..I think I have the stand issue resolved.

Anybody have an opinion on using an in-ceiling speaker like the LC60is for the rears? Not sure if they would match up well with the LSi9 and C fronts.
