Have you guys heard of David Navone? I was looking at the JL Cleansweep but I think I can achieve the same result with the Navone NE-774V for $34.95. I read through this guys website and he seems to know his stuff and mfg some cool stuff. Check it out!

looks like a radio-shack wanna be.
"david navone engineering" - doesn't look like very much engineered stuff... just stuff you learn in a highschool electronics class.
anyway - i'm done bitching.

David Navone is a huge name in car audio and definitely knows his stuff.
Still, I think the Clean Sweep does a little more to clean up the stock h/u signal. It also will defeat the stock EQ's that you cant bypass in some cars.polkaudio sound quality competitor since 2005

For the price of the CleanSweep, I might as well have gone with a new HU. At least this way, I'm only out $35 and if I decide to go with another HU, I won't have spent $300 on the cleansweep. Thats my justification anyway.MacLeod wrote:David Navone is a huge name in car audio and definitely knows his stuff.

I still think you should go with a new head unit. You can get a very good unit for $200 with free installation!polkaudio sound quality competitor since 2005

Then I have to research a dash kit and a kit to keep the steering wheel controls, etc. The cost begins to add up and become a pain in the ****! Maybe later. I got the upgraded JBL system so I wouldn't have to f with it. Now look where I am at! Once you begin, it never stops!MacLeod wrote:I still think you should go with a new head unit. the cleansweep is really for the stock HUs that cannot be removed, like some of the newer cars... spending the money on an aftermarket HU is the way to go...It's not good, very fundamentally simply not good. - geolemon
