This is the phone number to call if you have Comcast as your internet provider, and want to save $120 over the next 12 months. If Verizon DSL is available in your area, they are offering DSL high-speed internet service for $29.95 a month, ten bucks cheaper than Comcast. All I did was tell the lady that I'd rather increase my daughters allowance by $10 a month rather than give it to Comcast. She immediately lowered my Comcast price to match the Verizon price, effective tomorrow, and good for one year.

I don't have much to gripe about with Comcast or the service... but I'll be damned if I can't use the $120 annual savings a little more than Comcast, the nations largest cable provider.
You can afford the extra $120 more power to you.
Thanks for straightening out the number thing Russ.

Mac,
Put that $10 toward that HT rig your trying to finish off. GG wasn't saying to drop your service and change to Verizon, but to just make them think you would. . Get on that phone right now, damnit, and save yourself some $$$"SOME PEOPLE CALL ME MAURICE,

ND13 is a deep thinker, like myself. THEY DON'T WANT TO LOSE YOU AS A CUSTOMER. They want to love you long time GI. They don't want to lose you enough to drop their fee $120 annually. Am I coming across now, or still transmitting in code?
George Grand (of the Jersey Grands) -
You'd be surprised what fees companies will waive/adjust if you bring it to thier attention. The Lovely Wendi is a MASTER at this. Sometimes, I actually feel sorry for the poor schmuck on the other end of the line.
Regardless if it was 12 dollars, I'd rather have it than give it to someone else.

That's one of the myriad reasons that I'm enamored of the Lovely Wendi, when it comes to the beads and shells she is better than Alan Greenspan.

Yeah, that and the fact she's the only one that'd have you.

I don't know about yous guys, but the 'lovely wendi' stuff thrown in here and there is to the point of making me want to PUKE. We get it Troy, you've got a hot wife, you married 'up' (big time).
Not that I mind Wendi, it's the opposite actually. If anything ever happens to Troy, I'm going after her. But we get it already Troy, you wear the tutu in the family, you get whipped into submission on a regular basis, your testes are in a glass jar on HER nightstand.

Comcast HSI is a friggin rip. It's only $39.95 IF you have their tv service.
I had it. Then I went to sattelite, but I wanted to keep the cable internet ( it is fast). When I dropped the tv they raised the internet bill to $65 a friggin month !!!
No sending the wife on that errand. When I canceled it, I did so in a way that makes me seriuosly doubt they ever give me an account again -

Eff you all......I'm paying $19.99 a month for my internet and $29.95 for my digital cable package.....
New customers rock.....comment comment comment comment. bitchy. -
Russ, I'd welcome you to move in with Wendi and I should Troy ever depart the area. Between her and my salary we'd definitely be able to afford a butler or houseboy.
George Grand (of the Jersey Grands)
Get some Brett! When I saw the tv ad for $19.99 last night, I ALMOST called Comcast back to knock it down another $10! -
I called a co uple weeks ago to cancel my cable TV service (and go with just internet). They gave me the TV for half price for 6 months (and you can bet I'm calling again in 6 months!), which is about 20 bucks, which is about what you save off the internet when you get cable TV. So essentially for the price of Internet I get both.
Bitching makes the world go 'round. If you will it, dude, it is no dream. -
I may have to start to bitching at the cable company as well. It's friggin' expensive! Insight Communications is the local cable provider here (the only1) and I pay $93.87 per month for Digital cable (no pay services) which includes digital music channels and also includes my broadband internet connection. It's rape I tell you. Although since I have multiple services I get a $10 credit, otherwise it would be $103.87 per month. Only problem is once you go broadband it's hard to go back!
Just curious do other cities/states have more than one cable provider to choose from? Competition might bring those prices down.
Almost $1200 a year to watch mostly crap on tv and talk to you guys here on the forum....sheesh

100 bucks, that's about what I paid when I had digital. I cancelled the digital and got my half price deal and i'm down around 70 with taxes... but still. Killer. If you will it, dude, it is no dream.
