Since the time you became heavily involved in HT or 2-channel audio, how long have you gone without upgrading anything?

I upgraded my DVD player about a month ago. before that it had been May the last time I added anything to one of the rigs. SDA's.PolkFest 2012, who's going>?
Vancouver, Canada Sept 30th, 2012 - Madonna concert  -
Seeing how the Toshiba 3960 was far from an UPGRADE, it would be about a year or so now.

Cathy, you impressed with that Onk cassette deck? I picked one up in a thrifty about 3 years ago for $6 and that is one rock solid, great sounding machine. It's busted to the point where I can't record on it, so I just use it on my desk at work to play Zappa and Captain Beefheart stuff which torments the **** out of my co-workers. The PBS radio station in the Filthadelphia area also plays a Sousa march every morning at 7:15. I crank that to ear shattering levels for the zoomies (Air Force Academy grads) in my office. They tell me it's the worst part of their day. Not my fault they don't have good memories of the academy.

.....about 5 years on the HT thing. And thankfully, it's been over a year since I've changed anything there.
Much longer on 2-Channel rigs, and about 6 months since I upgraded anything, (went to balanced ic's)
Thankfully,I think I'm there for awhile.....
now, it's more about enjoyment than aquirement.

LOL George you're a riot!
Yes I like my tape deck just fine. It doesn't get a lot of use nowadays but it plays & records beautifully! I love the Dolby noise reduction buttons that it has. Cuts down on the hiss real nice.Marantz AV-7705 PrePro, Classé 5 channel 200wpc Amp, Oppo 103 BluRay, Rotel RCD-1072 CDP, Sony XBR-49X800E TV, Polk S60 Main Speakers, Polk ES30 Center Channel, Polk S15 Surround Speakers SVS SB12-NSD x2 -
Mine is TA-2056, and the previous owners SS# is etched onto the front panel. His initials too. That's a military habit. Knuckleheads.

Wow! Captain Beefheart...now there's a blast from the past.
Anyway, back to the subject....about 2 months.suds, suds and more suds! -
About 2 years since I got the DAC. Not really an upgrade, but I had to have a decent system in the computer/home office area since I spend a fair amount of time in there and half my HD is filled with music. Completed that about 2 months ago. Some day I'll be getting new main speakers. I love my RTA's but soon it's time to try something different trying to stay w/ Polk but will look at other options. Biggest draw back is no place close to demo anything. All the higher end stores are gone from my area....it sucks! I know there is always Chi-town which is a good option. Plus I only start looking when I have the cash to buy. I hate just going out to demo stuff.....I want it right then and there when I decide.

About 5 min ago I pulled the trigger on a new phono preamp. Hopefully it will do something better than the one I bought last week.
