first off i went to see this at the good ol' local imax. once i got past the 24 dollars for the tickets (almost twice the normal price), and then another 6 for popcorn and drink for me and my girl i finaly was ready to see this flick. having loved the original i wasnt sure what to expect from an adaptation directed by tim burton and johny depp.

i got to say i was impreased. now maybe it was just the fact that i was in an imax with a billion inch screen and 1200 watts of digital sound (love the imax intro, stuff on the screen was flying left and right and back and forth, crazyness) but this movie was fun and playfull. at certain points i felt like i shouldnt be sober but dam i felt like a kid in a candy store (pun intended)!

the one complaint i have is the umpalumpas (spelling anyone??). they had these funky hip new songs. there was some rock, a little bit of techno, and other new age music. coming from the original songs these sorta scared me. i mean in one song there was a full orchestra, and i think they used every intrument ever created in the history of time. :eek:

back to the rest of the movie... good charcter development, obviously a fun plot and worth seeing.

oh yea and before i forget, IMAX IS THE COOLEST THING SINCE SLICED BREAD

I would because the thread would have been resurrected and I always read older threads that get brought back to life, if just to see why it was bumped.

way to go ron, u da man. im sooooo impressed i dont really know what do with my self. maybe jump of a bridge, or maybee, just maybee ill laugh knowing u tried to spite me. heck i dont really care. now more people will read my careless thoughts beacuse they will see there are 2 threads and think to them selfs "why are there 2? are they different? maybee ill check? more power to u ron! thanks and keep up the good work!
