I found these at a local pawn shop for $600 including sales tax. No IC and one broken binding post, condition maybe 6-8/10 since I haven't read the new condition thread. I put on a cheap rat shack post and using the IC from my CRS+'s and I'm rockin' to Journey.

It's sooo much easier to leave or be banned than it is to look at things differently than the majority. And for God's sake don't post those differing views here.

I think that I know what you are speaking about,,years ago, I helped my brother upgrade his 2.3tl's,,he wanted to go with Solen caps(french made) vs. Sonicaps because of cost and his belief that there would be no difference in sound. So, we did,,about 3 months ago after listening to my 1C's,,,back out come the 2.3 x-overs ,and in go the sonicaps. I guess what I'm trying to say is that some things are tried and proven,,and there is alot to be said for just plain "Experience",,CandyL seemed to keep annoying people with useless ****, and gave very questionable advice, at best,, to noobs, especially regarding tweeter upgades. It got to a point that he was ,,how do you say it,, wasting bandwidth,,, maybe I am doing the same,,if so,,I'm sure the mods or someone will "bust" me.But CL,,was waaaay out there,,without restraint, and very much, out of control. AMF,,CLJC approves....he told me so. (F-1 nut) -
His experience here certainly colored his attitude about Polk Audio . Recently, he was trolling the Polk thread at AVS.

Yeah, 99.999999999999% of us know better than to turn our speakers into support posts for the house. I'm just saying....Political Correctness'.........defined

Sorry pres; They're not support posts for my listening building in spite of what you may think. The slight downward pressure from the ceiling is holding the speakers in place with the added benefit of structural integrity for the building. Not to mention it's far more secure than that flimsy bass brace. Why screw a bass brace to the wall if it's not needed? I thought I explained this but apparently I did not go into enough detail. Having built more than my fair share of buildings has taught me that a a solid structure can and should be used as a support if it's available even if it's not needed. Cheers
