Marantz DV7600

Finally gave in & purchased a new universal disc player. I have tried the denon 3910, 2910 & the Onkyo 1000. But for the value & preformance the Marantz 7600 fit my needs well. Audio preformance is equal to or I feel better than the 3910 & the video preformance is equal to the 3910 & better than the 2910. The Onkyo 1000 is a much better player but costs $1000 more than the 7600. Ran up some tests using HQV benchmark dvd & the 7600 passd most of the test patterns & did very well. I have not had a chance to play with the player too much yet but so far Im very happy. Once I put about 100 hrs Ill recalibrate & test again. If looking into a player in the $999 price range try the marantz 7600
