Stupid Question

But I gotta ask:

I can get 4 r15s fairly cheap so I'd like to move my RT128s to the back and put 2 speakers left and right to make 2 quasi-floorstanders. Is this possible? I know if I wire them parallel I've just gone down to 4 ohm/side so do I just do 16 ohm/series? Or is it even worth looking at? Or do I run separate outs from my receiver with A/B outs and run A/B?
Questions, questions :-)

    I wouldn't do that.
When a guy with 3000+ posts says no, the answer's no. :-)

Second question... would a pair of r15s be any good for the front (remember I'm almost 100% movies, VERY little music) or should I pop $200-$400 for some used R30s or Monitor 50s? Or keep the RTi28s up front and stick the 15s in the bac? I know I'm a pain in the a**. :-)

    Here's a pic of my set-up.

Sub is inside left...still have to raise it up on foam to isolate it from vibrations. Not bad for a DIY project.

Not a bad little setup there, very clean looking. I would stick with 28's up front the rti series is much better than the monitor series.

Stacking has its benefits in ways. I have experimented down that path. Its one of those things you have to hear.

However, combing a set of inferrior speakers to compete with a better product is always going to get you one result, inferrior sound.

Now if you had two RTi28's...might be a different story :)

Although people dont like the idea of stacking...lol

I have tried stacking 35i's on top of 55i's. My result was mixed... i would suggest just not stacking though. The negatives outweighed the positives on that setup.
