Hi all,

As stated in another thread, I am going to sell a few of my SDA speakers.

First on the list is a nice pair of 2.3's. I bought these a while back from the original owner.
They are in very good condition, the oak wood tops and bottoms are in great condition.
The cloth is in good condition with a few very minor snags. All drivers and tweeters working properly.
The only cosmetic issue is a 4" area where the material along the edge has pulled loose.
This could be easily remedied with recovering the grilles in new cloth,
or, (as I did) just leave the grilles off.

I have the Interconnect cable for them, And original boxes.
Even so, this is for a local pickup only. $750.

*** I am back from vacation.

As stated, I consider these speakers in very good condition, with the small exception of the one speaker grille, in which the fabric has come loose from the side. This could be re-stapled or glued, or if one was very finicky replace the cloth, which is easily done and pretty cheap too.
Other than that spot the rest of the grille is in good condition, as is the other grille.

Some lucky Polkaphile could be in SDA nirvana by this weekend.

-Luc

If you knew these speakers, you would know that there is cloth material on the sides of the speakers, which is attached and is separate from the grille covering material. The grilles are easy to remove and work on while the side material is not. So I am describing two different areas of the speaker.

Are you considering driving out from Virginia?
Or just have some time on your hands?

Could you put these on hold for 5 years while I save up for a house? :(

Don't think my housemates would appreciate these in the living room. Maybe I could say they're covered bookshelves.

I have never heard any speakers from the sda line and am really disapointed that i have not for as much as they get talked about on here i feel i am really missing out on something special.

Anyone going to this years polkfest bringing any sda's with em :D , i would be very greatfull to be able to expereice some good sda's first hand.

    Just got your PM.
For a quick look I post a picture of them in the "vintage" section.
They're on the ends in the second row. 6 drivers 3 tweeters 15" passive sub.

    Thanks!
Good luck in your search for 1.2's
You will definitely have to beat some bushes,
as they don't come around often.
My advice is to have cash in hand, (lots of it) and be ready to move instantly,
as there is a long line around here of people looking for the same thing.

    Al-

All standard 2.3's have damping cones on the top and bottom drivers in the SDA stack (outer drivers).
Polk did this to lessen the midrange presence and increase the bass response, as they essentially become bass radiators.

The 2.3 is for my brother who wanted to own a pair since he auditioned mine a couple months ago :-)

It was a great pleasure to meet Luc, and he gave me a demo of the 1.2TL's that I never saw a real pair until today, LOL. The whole transaction was beyond a sale, it was like passing some goodies to a brother. I recommend to do business with Luc without any reservation. Good deal, thank you, Luc!!!
