We have had digital vhs here in Australia for around 1 year and it has not taken off, maybe its the the price around 1300 dollars US and the blank tapes cost around 25 dollars US, the playback for picture & audio is so so. DVD kills it.

I took this from another of you posts. Question. Is it true HD-VHS you have over there? The full 1080. I would think if you did the picture would be much better than current DVDs.

The reason I ask is there is a big stink over here in the states about HD-VHS rounding the corner soon and I'd like to know what you have over there exactly.
