I am not sure what a G35 is but my Dakota can only get 15 mpg. on the highway, going down hill, with a tailwind.
Oh well, I still like it.....somewhat.

Nissan's really turned Infiniti around the past 3 years. Good for them. They still have a long ways to go however.

Their new "M" car is sweet.

I agree, Pontiac would do themselves good by really making the GTO a competitive vehicle in the high preformance auto world.

The GTO could be even better if they actually spent some time on a fresh design, instead of rebadging a Holden. The Charger is even worse.

The new Mustang set the bar for the new age of "muscle car" design. The rest are just trying to keep up and pander to the market. It's sad.

Hopefully the Camaro will go from concept drawing to actual production, as it looks fantastic.

Grand Prix styling on a Cavalier frame. Lame.

Many manufacturers are throwing new bodies on a common frame:
    Toyota: Rav4, Carolla, Matrix; Camry/Solara
    Dodge: Magnum, Charger
    Pontiac/Holden: GTO, Monaro
    Nissan/Infiniti: Murano, FX

Manufacturers are looking for ways to stay competitive and lower design//manufacturing costs. Common frames are now as prevalent as ever

Although, if the GTO did have a cavalier frame, dropping in a 400hp, 400ft/lb engine would require a little strengthening...

    I'll rephrase:

Grand Prix styling with a Cavalier shape. Lame.

I'm glad they made an engine with some gusto, but calling it a "GTO" is a crime, IMO. When I see the new GTO, I've never thought "That looks like a GTO."

Ford hit the nail on the head with the Mustang. I hope Chevy is taking a serious look at that kid's drawings for a new Camaro.

You are right. The mustang is a fine looking car and actually resembles the old style, especially the front of it; it looks just like to old 'stang.

The new charger isn't even close to the old one.

All I have to say is that you guys crack me up! Thread started as more or less of a political debate and then morphed into a car discussion.

Ok back to the speakers. What I'd like to know (since many of you own them), is what does it say on the side of the box or the cabinet itself. Made in China or made in US.

I'm thinking of coming down to the states to pick up a pair of RTi8 and wondering if I will avoid duties due to the supposed free trade agreements in place.

Even though most of the building is in China sometimes they bring them back and finish the cabinet or tweak some little thing and they still get to say 'made in usa'. Any knowledge or help here would be appreciated. Thanks

BTW the G35 is a rippin' car that performs well beyond it's price range.

I've read some of the NAFTA regs and it specifies goods marked as made in US or Canada or NOT marked as made in any other country. So as long as these things don't actually say made in China I should be golden. Can anyone confirm this please.

    FWIW,

Bose are made in mexico atleast the ones I had were :( . Box said engineered in the USA made in Mexico.

As far as NAFTA I think it's SHAFTA for the average consumer. Why is it whenI travel to the US I can only bring back X amount if I stay X amount of time.

That may be the other problem. Maybe they'll look at it as softwood lumber and ignore all agreements.
