I must really thank beardog03 for the Pink Floyd "Live at Pompei" dvd. I got to see it for the first time last night and was in awe.

I can't decide which version of the concert footage I enjoyed the most, the director's cut or the original concert footage. Both were absolutely awesome and flawless. The PQ and SQ were amazing for the period, way ahead of there time, imo.

If you don't own this or have never seen it, it's a "must have" for any self-respecting Floyd fan. Do yourself a favor and get out and get yourself a copy, ASAP. You won't be disappointed.

I'm not going to go into detail and ruin it for anyone. For those that don't like live music(Swerve or Audiobliss I think) because of the audience, you don't have to worry about that on this DVD, because there is none. Just the band, soundmen(BIGTIME KUDOS TO THEM)and the film crew, on location.

    I wasn't expecting it to be that good as far as the PQ and SQ goes. I mean it looks as though it was done in the last 5-10 years, except that they're young.

    i don't know what pq & sq means.:confused: i think the graphics look good, because of the high summer sun....echoes part 1 and careful w that axe, eugene are the highlights fer me

    So is this live or not. Or is it more like live in the studio or live on location? Don't ruin it w/ too much detail. If it's like a documentary...not sure I'd be interested.

    It's live on location(no audience) with some studio scenes being edited in. I believe you'd love it. I think you can get it at Wal Mart for $10.
    There's the original version and the director's cut both. If you get it and don't like it, I'll buy it from you to give to my dad.
    Have a nice weekend. Going on vacation for tyhe first time in over 15 years:D .
