milliamp question

My daughter lost her adapter for her cell phone.
It requires a 12vdc .3a adapter and I found, in my toy-box, a 12vdc 300 ma adapter.
My question is... are these the same thing?
Is 300ma = .3a?

Surely someone here knows.
Thanks

    Yes, 1000mA = 1A. So 100mA = .1A, so 300mA = .3A. Should be fine.
If you will it, dude, it is no dream.

Also remember that some devices require a particular adaptor regardless of "voltage" and "current" ratings listed on it. This is because in a no load situation some adaptors rise significantly higher in voltage than listed whereas others do not.

    Good luck!

And safety glasses, everything tells you to wear safety glasses before operating.

To open beer, first wear safety glasses and gloves, then twist the top counterclockwise...
