I just bought a Harman Kardon Signature 2.1 Power amp and have been using my HK AVR 335 Receiver as a preamp. I justy found a HK Signature 2.0 Pre-Pro that is the matching componet for the amp. My question is would my system sound better with the separates or with the receiver?

I have been running all seperates for 20 years. I recently swapped out my Pre-Pro and tuner for a reciever (to add 7.1 capabilities), using the pre-outs to my seperate amps.

I noticed no loss in sound quality, but it is a quality reciever.
