Looking for a powered sub, I was wondering what good prices are for the psw 404 and 505, if they ever go on an outrageous special at Frys or any other place like the R50s do and what older models to look for that will be a match to the 404 and 505. I have 4 R50s and a CS1 may as well go for the polk sub to match. Thank you.

Sub matching is not as important as matching other speaks. So when sub shopping, you can look at other brands if they fit your budget...

I would say for the 404, a very, very good price for a brand new, sealed box from an authorized dealer would be around $279-$299......used ones have gone for around $175 plus shipping here.....not sure about the 505 though.

go for velodyne, svs or some of the hsu research subs which are a bit better than the polk subs, unless you can find something like a psw 650 from polk now that was a sub.
