No more JJ for me

THAT'S IT! I've had enough with JJ. Until their QC improve, I'm not buying another tube from them. I've had nothing but bad luck from JJ.
Back in Dec I bought a quad of JJ E34L. I installed them in my amp, turned all the lights out and checked the plates. A small section of the plate on one tube had a glow which was not visible with any lights on and barely visible with all the lights out but I found it. I always do this with new output tubes. I read about it on audioasylum.
A few months back I purchased a 6922 which worked fine for about a week until the right channel began to produce a continuous noise. I then installed a new EH 6922 and it's been running fine since then.
Today, I received my 5AR4 rectifier tube. As we all know, NOS Mullard are getting very pricey. I bought the JJ so I could store my Mullard away for future use. In less than 10 minutes, I saw a flash and the amp is dead. It blew the fuse. WTF? I've been using my Mullard for almost 2 years with no problem. I used a Sovtek for about 4 months with no problem. Now this JJ can't even last 10 minutes. I should've known better. I remember reading a thread on audioasylum a long time ago about tube vedors talking about receiving a crap load of JJ 5AR4 that were not wired correctly. Elements were wired to the wrong pins. Maybe the one I received came from that run. I've e-mailed thetubestore.com and told them about the bad tube and I'm asking them to exchange it for a Sovtek. Still waiting for a reply.
For now, I will stay away from JJ and stick with EH.
EH, Sovtek and SED seems to be the best. I've purchased a lot of tubes from them and never had a problem. Only ones I've had problems with are JJ and one with Ei.
Now I'm f*cking pissed because I have no spare fuse so I have to listen to a SS amp.

Immediatly fill your ears with cotton and CALL 911 right away!!!
madmaxVinyl, the final frontier...
Avantgarde horns, 300b tubes, thats the kinda crap I want... -
LOL Madmax. It took several hours for my ears to adjust to the sound. Don't like to crank up SS as much as tubes. It just doesn't sound the same.
btw, just saw your sig. How do you like the Tung Sol?

I updated the sig when I ordered the Tung Sol. Just got them and have not put them in yet.

Just wrap the blown fuse in a chewing gum wrapper and stick it back in. Beats the hell out of listening to SS!
