YES, bigfoot is REAL. I saw him and Elvis in a cafe off of Route 66 last Tuesday. Elvis had a banana sandwich and BF was knawing on a turkey leg if I remember correctly....

    Yes, he IS real.

He visited the Carolina Polkfest at Troy's house, goes by the name 'Ted'. I think some of you here know him as 'reeltrouble'.

I'll laugh when the DNA results are inconclusive because it's man-made fiber :). Some idiot in a monkey suit is probably having a good laugh over that story.

I'm a biologist and there is one reason why we are calling it a hoax or a mistaken identity. In my field, we often go by a rule of thunb called Achems' Razor or the Law of Parsimony. Very simply, it says that the simplest explanation is usually the right one. Now, after centuries of noone ever proving the existence of bigfoot and after countless hoaxes, which is the simplest explanation of this latest "discovery"?

Ther very idea that a large upright walking mammal could avoid detection in North America for this long is utterly ridiculous. Dont diss biologist just because we follow long established rules of reasoning.

Correct......Occam's razor, a principle that states the least difficult or simplest explanation available should be used in place of more difficult theories that explain the same thing. With unknown or "unproved" things, we should first try to explain with using our current knowledge..

Occam's principle with regard to bigfoot would be: 1-either there really is a bigfoot, 2- Bigfoot sightings are because of a human hoax.

Occam's would say : We have no proof of a real bigfoot so far so it is most likely #2 until proven otherwise......

Personally, I think its fun to think that something like that exists out there

Travel Channel actually had an hour special on bigfoot. I caught it on some random evening flipping through channels, I actually liked watching it. A few people said they saw bigfoot in their yard

If I saw a bigfoot in my backyard, he'd have a hole in his **** big enough to put Troy through.

Who knows. Things turn up everyday. Folklore sometimes has a ting of truth; albeit it gets stretched out of proportion over a long time.

Problem is, I would say it is likely Bigfoot is Bullet Proof, like Superman, you need a footinator bullet tipping which is almost as rare as Bigfoot, stuff has a molecular structure akin to Kryptonite.

No offense was intended towards you or any other reputable scientist. The hacks that do those types of shows and documentaries are the ****.
you know, the wright brothers embarrassed themselves by entertaining the notion that a heavier-than-air craft could fly... ditto for pasteur and germs, or copernicus and the orbit of the earth... all i'm saying is that you can't say with absolute certainty that something is not true when the possibility of truth remains... that doesn't mean you have to believe it, just don't automatically DISbelieve it...
