what is the word on the LS series? i saw some on ebay, LS 50's, and would like to know more about that series. are the specs anywhere online?

    Click on the "Home Products" section at the top of this forum window. Once that loads look at the lower left part of your screen at the product menu, at the bottom there is a "Vintage Product Library" section, click on the Floorstanding section and there are the LS series.

    Never heard them myself.

    I use the LS 90's as my mains. They take all that i give it and then some. They ar eremarkable performers in my home theater. Theyre ok for music as well, I actually should hook these to my 2 channel to see how they would perform.

    The LS 50's i believe are the smallest of the line, never heard of them. I have heard people say stick to the 70's or 90's in this line, but if see a pair of 50's close for good money, i say snag em.

    A friend of mine has the '90s. They sound great when connected to great equipment! I consider them to be polks second best speaker ever. SDA's are still #1 for me with LSi's being #3. :)

    I had the LS-50's for 7 years or so and never did like them for music real well. They made great HT speakers though teamed with the CS350SL center. They retailed for $800 originally. I think I bought mine in '96.
    2 channel - Willsenton R8 tube integrated, Holo Audio Spring 3 KTE DAC, audio optimized NUC7i5, Windows 10 Pro/JRiver MC29/Fidelizer Plus 8.7 w/LPS and external SSD drive, PS Audio PerfectWave P3 regenerator, KEF R3 speakers, Rythmik F12SE subwoofer, Audioquest Diamond USB cable, Gabriel Gold IC's, Morrow Audio SP5 speaker cables.
