dvd-a problem

OK....I just got the Eagles Hotel Califonria on DVD-A, put it in my player and tried playing the 2 channel layer and.........nothing. It wont play. I got it to play in surround sound mode, but not in 2-channel. I put in another DVD-A and it played fine in 2 channel. Any ideas on what could be wrong? Do I need to send the disc back for another??

    Could be a defective disc. Could also be your player having problems finding the layer. What player are you using? I have a Denon 1200 and I have problems after a few minutes on my two Sting DVDa's but no other DVDa. Now multichannel, no issues on any. What mine does is it reads reallllll slow on 2ch. Then if I try to use the curser to move to another track, it'll lock up and freeze. I'll turn it off and back on, and it'll play again but will do it again if I curser to another track. But if I just let it play, no issues at all. :confused:

    I have a Denon DVD 2900....first time I've ever had any problems playing any kind of disc on it.
