Fedex damage process?

I Fedex'd an infinty subwoofer and it arrived with major damage. I packed it myself and didn't have original packing material. I did get insurance. It was packed with peanuts, cardboard, and bubble wrap. I have shipped at least 100 times through the same Fedex office without any damage. How does the process work and do I have a chance of getting reiimbursed? Should I have the buyer mail the sub back or will Fedex inspect it there? Thanks, Jeff

    That sucks!

Call Fedex ASAP and tell 'em what happened and that you have insurance....they will tell you what to do with the package, claim form, etc..

    Good luck
Hope it works out for you

do a fed ex claim, they will retrieve the package from the buyer, inspect it and send it back to the shipper (you) unless you tell them to send it back to the receiver(buyer) if they approve the claim and it was packed enough, they pay the claim in 7-14 days max.... if you have a fed ex account its faster and they can credit the claim to your checking account....

If you can't prove how it was packed you're usually screwed. And if it works like UPS the bubble wrap and peanuts don't qualify. They say you need 2" of solid foam or cardboard all the way around. Cracks me up because many originally packed items wouldn't even qualify
