Im firm on the RTi4's as my front mains and CSi3 center. Those just cant be beat in price and performance.

R15's are cheap as dirt. Circuit City has em $90 a pair! I know theyre not a very high quality speaker but they should be ok for surrounds shouldnt they? CC doesnt have em hooked up so I cant demo them and, well theyre cheap as dirt!

You should be more than ok with R15's for surrounds; most of the sound is directed to center/mains, so they will handle their job well enough.

Rti4's all the way around. Timbre match all the speakers, it's worth it.

The 15s work very well and Outpost sells them (and Frys for $50/pair) twice a month.

R15's are more than fine for surround duty and they will save you a ton of cash at $90/pair.....however, RTi4's all the way like the others said would be sweet...

Timber up if you think you might get into multich music - much less important for movies.

I think Ill give em a shot. I know theyre not as good as RTi4's but theyre $150 less. I doubt Ill get much into MC music. I dont listen to a lot of music at home anyway, so this will be primarily HT.

The consumer reviews on CC and Crutchfield websites are all pretty much glowing so I think theyll be ok.

At the very least, they will hold me over while I upgrade other aspects of my system (cables, stands, etc) and if they suck I can always get some RTi4's later and stick the R15's on computer speaker duty.

R15's make an EXCELLENT computer source. I'm using a pair in my office rig, and they sound better than any 2.0 computer speaker set you can buy.
    Ludicrous gibs!

I use R15's as surrounds...they do a great job. They were the first Polk speakers I bought, the deal for $50 at Fry's hooked me. I was so impressed with their sound, I built my HT with Polk.

$50 a pair for new ones is RIDICULOUS!

makes you wonder if Polk is making any profit at all on these. What a good good deal

Guy at Frys told me that Polk is subsidizing these sales (or at least authorizing). They are below cost for the R50s and 15s. The 30s maybe gone, haven't seen them in a while.
