Just auditioned the Linkwitz Orions
My voyage has ended. I've done 2-ways, line arrays, you name it. Infinity Overtures, Polk LSis, not even close. If you are looking for the last speaker you will probably ever need to purchase, and don't mind spending a few thousand dollars and 50-100 hours of your time building them, look no further.

These have to be the best kept secret speaker on the planet. I have never experienced anything like it before in my life. The sound of a dipole speaker, compared to a box speaker, is nothing short of remarkable. Mids are effortless, and the dipole bass is just...perfect. It takes a few minutes to get used to it, since almost all of us are used to that "box" bass sound, but once you understand how bass is supposed to sound, it all makes sense.
I'm BEGGING any one of you who are close to a person on this demo list to take the time to go listen to a pair for yourself, even if you're not interested in building/buying a pair. I think you owe it to yourself:

Now, I'm not taking anything away from Polk and other brands of speakers. Polk is a killer company that makes the best price-performance ratio speaker in my book, but if you feel like you need to raise the bar please consider a pair of these speakers.

Looks like there is someone in town who is willing to demo them. He also lives about 10 minutes from here. It would be interesting to see how they compare to my Dyn Contour series.

jmierzur, you owe it to yourself.
Also, guys that have Orions probably tend to have killer setups and a remarkable collection of media to listen to, as was the nice gentleman who let me take two hours of his time
