Well, I'm off to pick up my SVS PB12-ISD/2 tomorrow, It's the biggest purchase for my HT yet, and well, what can I say? I'm excited :)

After I get it, I'll put up pictures and impressions

FWIW - There's no way I'm leaving behind my RTi speakers, no way in the burning ****.

You might want to wear a Depends undergarment during the demo.
CTC BBQ Amplifier, Sonic Frontiers Line3 Pre-Amplifier and Wadia 581 SACD player. Speakers? Always changing but for now, Mission Argonauts I picked up for $50 bucks, mint.

    Well first impressions were...

Man this sucks. I totally thought it sounded great in the showroom, I was shocked.

Then I realized, that this subwoofer has a power switch...

Flick... Wow...! I decided I have a little fun with the sucker and run it hot for the End fight with the robot in The Incredibles, it was like nothing I've seen before, the low end (although bloated at my fault) was incredible, I noticed that there was a little ringing, well, that's the filing cabinet. This thing has not disapointed me yet, nor will it I suspect.

    Other impressions...

SVS customer service is absolutely out of this world. They worked with me start to finish on this sub, and they helped me with everything they possible could.

This thing is big! Every single time I walk into the basement, it's always bigger than I thought it last, though that is not a bad thing. Not only is it a big unit, but it's a big sound, it integrated very well with the rest of my system.

I'm only running this sucker at about 1/5 on the gain, which is totally incredible to me, I've never had this much headroom in my life.

Overall, this is such an improvement over my old system, I cannot fathom it. I am simply in awe, it is much different from what I have expected, this isn't in your face as I may have expected (It can be though...) When I turned it down to where it should be when calibrated it was subtle, full, but subtle. It's truly whast I have been looking for, and with such headroom, I've been able to enjoy not looking for parts in the movie where the sub is going to bottom out, but rather I bask in the slam-your-chest feeling.

Overall A+ sub, I'll write more specific comments later, I simply haven't gotten enough time with the sub. I had my girlfriend as my assistant with me, and fortunatly, she was quite enthusiastic about the sub also, however, I didn't want to push my luck, so a few movies here and there, some music, calibration, but that's all I could really do.

    Summary in one word.

    Amazing!
