I'm living in a dorm room next year and i provided the audio and roomate is providing the tv and the furniture.

My audio is in my sig.

Should I upgrade to Rti 4s or 6.....

OR

Should I put down that money to a new tv. I see some good 24 and 27 inch tv's go for up for 200-300 dollars in classifieds or I could just put down the same amount for a new crappier tv from fry's or something...

Currently he is bring a 20 inch no name brand tv. Doesn't have component inputs but is flat screen.

Wasn't sure about upgrading TV because I know prices are dropping rapidly and I want HDTV in a few years or so...

Thanks,

Chris

It's a dorm. Stick with what you have, put the money in a fund, and purchase a nice TV or other video source when you move out of the dorm's in a few years.

(if you host alot of parties and play kind of loud, maybe get a small 2 channel amp to run your front speakers from providing your AVR has pre-outs. Not needed if you play at normal dorm levels though since the R50's should not be that hard to drive.)

The red pill will make the bug go away and the blue pill will make it stronger.

Yeah...I guess I should stay with what I have, Just a lot of stuff to lug up. I'll leave the r30's behind and take my r15's for my surrounds. Shouldn't be too bad I guess once I get it all up there.

    Rti's are so tempting...

i lived in the dorms 2 years ago. what you have right now seems more than fine. the room i stayed in was soooo small even after the loft that stupid little blose cubs would have sounded fine. save your money.

worst comes to worst u put all that stuff that you have right now in your room, u dont like it and u can then decide what the right fit will be for you and your room will be. just remeber, there are 100 other kids out there going through the same things u are and half of them will upgrade. i had a pretty big system in my room and i used other peoples rooms more than my own. just be patient...
