Balance 360 bicylce?

My dad's boss said he has an old Balance bike that he would sell me for $100. Well, actually my dad said he'd buy it for me but anyway. My dad called me back yesterday and said it was a Balance 360. I've searched to the end of the internet and back and cant find **** on balance bikes...like theyre non-existant...Did my dad hear wrong or am I just completely missing something?

    ok, he gave me the wrong name

    its the balance al 250, circa 1996

    i found some specs on it, will someone please tell me how good of a bike this is??

    It looks decent.

    Acera/Alivio drivetrain is a little better than entry level and the fork is pretty much entry level. Id say component wise, its as good as any $150 bike from Walmart unless the geometry is really sucky.

    If its in good condition Id say $100 would be a fair price.

    Ive never heard of Balance bikes tho. They dont even list them on Mountain Bike Review's website.

    well i cant find hardly any info on it in english which might be why. everything is in italian or french. the site is in dutch...

    I was told when he bought this bike is was a $700 bike...but that was in 1996. I'm not sure how reliable that information is though.

    Here is Mountain Bike Review's review page. They have virtually every bike made listed, including Walmart brands. They have tons of good reviews and can give you an idea of whats out there.

    come on all you mountain bike gurus, what do you think about this bike as far as the specs go? has anyone had experience with balance?

    For $100 it doesnt look that bad but the thing Im having a hard time with is a $900 bike with a Acera/Alivio drivetrain and the other components arent the level of a $900 bike either. For that money you should damn near have a racing bike.
