along with the help of a sudden downpour, a puddle, an off-camber decreasing radius curve, a telephone pole and a creek can turn this.....

Not a scratch. She did have a small seat belt burn on her neck and she was a little sore from the airbag. I've made my kids wear their seat belts...always....every time....no excuses. This happend less than a hundred yards after she pulled out of her boyfriend's driveway. Speed was less than 35.

    Seatbelts....there is no substitute!

Little ZX3 handled it pretty well. Looks like both airbags deployed, as long as passive restraints were the order of the day, everyone should be fine.

It appears the front passenger window got hit, presumably not an occupant I hope.

Good to know... just make sure if she starts feeling any pain or discomfort to get checked out.

Passenger side airbag. Its on top of the dash and took out the window. No passenger.

Talked to the repair shop. It's a total primarily because both airbags deployed. The cost of both of those is almost as much as repairing the rest of the damage. Airbags are worth every penny IMO.

Thanks. We took her to the emergency room...just as a precaution.

The kid had a really bad day. An hour before this happened she ran out of gas on the interstate going from work to her BFs house. AAA and a friend helped with that. Then the wreck. And on top of all of this. She had her wisdom teeth removed the next morning. Now she looks like a chipmunk....not because of the wreck...but because of the surgery.

All I know is that I wouldn't want to go throught a 18 hour span like that!

Wow... that looks a lot worse than my accident. I tell ya... nothing worse than getting in an accident, and then realising it's NOT YOUR CAR

The van I was driving at the time-

    Damage to the middle-

Damage to the driver's side front-

Got caught up in a heavy snowstorm on I-80 in the Poconos. There was an accident ahead of us, and traffic was stopping. While trying to stop, I slid over in the left lane and somebody who was also sliding to a stop smacked me in the front wheel, which spun me around and I caught the back end of his car with the middle of the van. I ended up doing a 180, tapping another car (cosmetic damage only to that car) and facing back into traffic. You haven't lived until you've seen an 18wheeler coming at you in full slide taking over both lanes. There were cars, trucks, and vans sliding all over the place.

When the staties showed up to check things out, they actually slid past me and had to back up and come back... that's how slick it was. Nevertheless, they ruled it my fault since I started sliding first, and I was fined $130 or something, along w/ 2 points on my license (points should be gone by now... it was a while ago).

Oh well... live and learn! Unless you're a really bad driver, every hairy experience you get in teaches you another thing about driving. In my case, I should have steered the van over into the right side ditch and rode it out over there. Probably wouldn't have damaged anything, and if I had, it wouldn't have involved anyone else.

Oh, and you know the real kicker? I had actually missed my exit and should've never been where I was at the time!
    Ludicrous gibs!

Yea... I've seen probably 10 accidents in the last year and been there to run out and see how the people are doing and help them. It really messes with people's minds for a while.
