I am using rti70's for my right and left front speakers with a sony center channel. I really like the 70's but the sony center is horrible.I am also using a onkyo 601 receiver and kenwood 3 way floor standing speakers for my surrounds which I think sound great.Could someone please tell me what center I should get?

    Thanks for your reply techmo. Do you think the csi5 would be overkill?:confused:

    The correct matching center for RTi70s is a CSi40.
    Win7 Media Center -> Onkyo TXSR702 -> Polk Rti70

    Yep, if you can find a CSi40, it's timbre matched to your fronts (that's what I run, check the link in my sig)

    If you can't get the CSi40, then go for the CSi5. It won't be overkill, trust me. If the budget doesn't allow for the CSi40 or 5 right now, then go for the CSI30 or 3 now and upgrade later down the road - you could always buy the bigger center when you can afford it and move the smaller to the back and have a 6.1 setup

    Polk dosn't make any BIG speakers any more. What are you talking about?

    Look up the CS1000P - its like a horizontal tower. Eff the CSi5.

    RTi12 is big? Nope. Look at the 1.2TL and SRT.

    Oh yeah, just save your cash and get the CSi5 or CSi40. Forget the whole CSi30 or CSi3 thing. Thats just a waste of time and money. Thats 100-200 bucks you could of saved to get the "big" boy.

    Psycho Sid's right. If your front speakers have 6.5" drivers, then the csi5 or csi40 is your only true option. I have a csi3 to match my 5.25" drivers in the rest of my setup.

    Big Center... Really Big.

    That center is 2" "taller" than my surrounds! They are 32" tall! I want those as my surrounds.

    Sleep Abandoned Me! And Frankly...I abandoned sleep. We refuse to talk!

    You can never have a big enough center. You could have 2" midbasses, I'd recomend the 6.5" midbass center. The center is the most important, unimportant piece of a HT. Its important if you use one - because it does alot. And its unimportant because you dont really need it... ;)

    Ok....maybe 2" midbass was kind of an exageration. 4" midbass would be the min. for a 6.5" midbass center.

    Ok, I am going to sleep.
