Ok. This is intimidating me. Earlier in one of my other threads you helped me with the problem of the inlaid wiring.
Now for the big task.
Basically this is my dad's house which has all prelaid wiring.
Bedroom: 2 ceiling speakers
Buying Volume Control
Dining room : 2 ceiling speakers
Buying Volume Control
Living room: 5.1 (bose =() system for HT.
Running off of a Onkyo 700.
Buying RTi 10's or LSI 9's for Music/Karoake Duty.
Buying a sub most likely such as a SVS or a DIY one
Buying 2 channel amp for the stereo speakers.
Buying Speaker selector to do imedence matching for all the speakers.
Now guys please don't throw me overboard because of the whole bose thing.
I'm pretty sure I need everything that i'm "buying" so if there are any other recommendations that'll be lovely. My dad isn't too big into HT but it's nice to watch movies from time to time as well as watching HD programming.
If there are any recomendations for volume control I was looking into Niles currently. I don't know how to hook this up and will be looking into that shortly. I also don't know anything about running wire in the house or mounting cieling speakers, so professional installation might be the road to take.
As far as speaker selectors Niles as well.
The amplifier I for the two RTi's or Lsi...I have done no research on and have no knowledge regarding subject only that familiar brands are rotel, adcom, parasound and outlaw. I will research soon.
Is it possiable for the receiver to power it's channels and still send the pre out signal to a seperate amp?
I'm thinking Rti's over Lsi because possiabity to upgrade the HT from bose to Rti line if my dad falls in love with the sound. The Lsi's might be a bit much for him.
Thanks for all the help. As usual questions are welcome and encouraged.

Also I should mention that my dad cares a lot about looks. So the RTi 10's have a nice WOW factor. If there any other brands outside of Polk that are around 800 or less that have good sound as well as have a nice aesthetic factor that would be most helpful. I like the look of B and W but haven't heard them I need to find somewhere in Houston to check them out....
