The 1st pic is the hardware which was taken out of me because it became loose. The surgine told me everything was fine for a year+, the fusions were reabsorbed too. One rod is missing which went to a lab in the hospital. When the hardware was put n it was the opperation which totally disabled me, he really f---ed me up.
The 2nd is after I was stappled up with 79 staples.
The 3rd is a picture during surgery.
The doctor who did this surgery went to bat for me in court. The doctors over here are not all that great. I think I got lucky and found one who could do his best with what was left to work with. This was my 5th opperaton. The picture of the surgery helped me to know what was trying to be fixed and at least gave me an idea of what it was like in there. Thought it might hepl you fight your battle to get better as it did me. Its hard to beleave when surgeon opperates, they go in about 4"s. Hope your feeling better soon, I really understand what your going through. I been through the tests to go in for my 7th major surgery, I have had 3 minor also. Keep pushing man.
Chris :)

Chris, Jeez I thought I had it bad. How is your leg/foot, I cannot feel my left foot, S1 nerve has had it. I am trying to settle out of court and I am told this will take around 6 months. Also I must admit over the last few days I have put a lot of thought into persuing a cure to my stuffed back but I think as the Surgeon has told me I should accept that there is not a cure. At least it is good to know there is other Polkies out their who understand the hassles these lower backs can cause. Kind Regards Fabian

Fabian-Make sure your covered for life with your settlement. Because of my age, I was 21 at the time, my case was left open ended with a ten year review. Damn good thing too. A month before the harware was put in I was working, it was the last time I worked. My case took 5 years to settle after the acciedent. Now my whole spine is going, but its been 15+ years. You have to keep your faith. I can't say I've accepted it but have acceped ‘this is the way I will be’ and turned myself over to God. Just make sure you have a good lawyer. Some people end up fine others don't. My brother and others I know from groups had surgery, they have no problems. Listen to what your doctor tells you what not to do. This is the best advice I can give ya with out going into a long drawn out reply. If you want to know more or have questions email me. I hope this made sence and has helped you in some way. Remember your only fighting yourself.

Scott-The docs have real nice chrome tool sets, hammers saws you name it. Some of it s pretty scary.
