tribute to polk audio and this forum

Ya know, as I sit here puttin' on a listen to fourplay with Lee Ritenour on guitar and Bob James on keyboards, I'm amazed at the sound coming out of those shitten' little RT25i's. Granted they have a little help from my JBL sub, the K/K 3375 receiver and my favorite piece of equipement (which by the way I'm glad that didn't sell) the adcom dac unit, but they are a great sounding little loudspeaker in themselves at a most affordable price. In fact, I can say that about the entire line of Polk Audio speakers, although my preference is still the RTxxxi line. Just want to give thanks here to Polk Audio for making such great sounding speakers at a very affordable price.

And to the members of this forum. Synergy is what it is all about and without the input from the members here I probably would never have experienced the listening pleasure that I enjoy these days. Amazin' what you can put together with some Polk Audio speakers and a few other components on a very low budget. I'll take synergy over the most expensive pieces of equipment available any day. That I learned here on the forum. Although I guess it doesn't hurt if ya have the coin for some of the finest, I'm just a bit overwhelmed by the sound that pours out of what's left of my very modest system. Just wanna' say thanks to all that have helped me here over the past couple of years in my pursuit of great sound and the smiles that have resulted.

Polk Audio the company, and Polk Audio the forum...very fine bunch indeed!

Greg

I can't for the life of me believe this guy and his gall. One of the reasons I didn't sell these for $75.00 shipped although I paid $125 shipped from abenedicto was their cosmetic condition. My friend, your are not welcome here.

Your quote above was unnecessary and without merit. Obviously, you are an exception to the members that I praise here.

I hear ya Greg, and I agree, that RTxxxi line was in the best RT line of all IMO. The tri-lam is still my favorite tweeter of any that has come afterwards.

I would take the RT3000P over the RTi12 anyday. Ditto, RT2000i over the RTi10.

Plus, the new line has nothing at all to even compare to the RT55i, RT1000i, Rt600i or even the RT15i.

Have you heard the line before the RTxxxi line?

    RT5, RT7, etc?

    THAT was a great line.

Actually, that was 2 lines before the RTxxxi line, and yes, I've heard them, and I'm not saying that they weren't great too.

IMO, the first RTixxx line with the RTi38, RTi70, RTi100, et al was not as good as the others. I just didn't care too much for that tweeter, and there was probably a reason why that line was so short lived before they replaced it with the current RTi line.

I'm usually a level headed person, but if you read my first post in this thread, I was happy to find out he was enjoying the speakers I sold him.....He wasn't 100% satisfied with some blemishes this used speaker had, and I lost sleep over it becuase it made me feel bad, but I never mentioned that it was in mint or excellent condition. So when he started this post I felt glad that he was able to use them for his enjoyment and that he was happy with his new 2 channel rig...that's it. My intentions were never to insult him or anything......PEACE, ONE LOVE.
