I loaned my brother my adcom amp to audition a pair of klipschorns for a prospective buyer,, got a call today,,seems as though he "shorted" out the speaker wires, blew a fuse,replaced said fuses,internally and externally,, guess it will be going to the shop, as they say,"no good deed goes unpunished" left channel does not function properly anymore,,oh well.
JC approves....he told me so. (F-1 nut)

    Sounds like your brother owes you another Adcom amp, or a fistfull of cash.

    Shouldn't be any problem, if he's selling K-Horns.

    And the klipsch don't even need an adcom to power them to reference levels. How is it someone who sells speakers doesn't have an amp to demo them?

    Yeah, I know,the fact that his carver has a bad right channel should have thrown up warning flags, but the 545 adcom was the smallest thing that I had,, however,they did sound quite awsemone yestrday when I hooked them up,,at least the pre amp and rotel cd suffered no apparent damage, picking up whats left in the am,,like Neil young once sang,,"there are warning signs on the road ahead" ,,,,,, Oh well.
