Will biwiring hurt my receiver?

I just got a Onkyo TX-SR800 and am wanting to run 2 sets of speaker cable to my Polk CS400i center speaker like I had it on my old receiver. However, Looking through the manual of the receiver it says
"Do not connect more than one speaker cable to one speaker terminal. doing so may damage the receiver"
Does this mean that I should not bi wire my center speaker like it was already with my old receiver?

You're fine.
If anything, I think Onkyo is trying to keep the mouthbreathers from trying to hookup multiple pairs of speakers, and presenting a load the receiver can't handle.
