I actually DON'T like to upgrade unless necessary. Until my total audio makeover that started about 4 years ago, the system I had was 14+ years old.

I'm finally back to audio nirvana and will probably leave this system alone for a long time, sans anything breaking down.

Everytime I come to this forum, hear an amazingly powerful/emotional/detailed/wonderfully-recorded song, or see an add for something I don't have, I get the itch to upgrade. Pretty much, it is an incessant thing. However, with little funds and with little to justify serious upgrading, my system has remained the same for quite a while. (Hopefully, however, that will soon change.)

believe it or not- i'm pretty satisified. I've been on the eternal quest for years and i've come to realize that i'll never have the ultimate system- but what I do have right now is as close as I could possibly want and it not overtake my life. I'm sure they're plenty out there that would think what i have is absolutley run of the mill mid-fi gear- but it puts a smile on my face and any guests that come over- so it's good enough.

    For now... ;)
