The Semi-fantastic Four

I took my 7 year old to the drive-in to see the Fantastic Four Saturday night. It was as about as perfect of a night as one could ever hope for to go to the drive-in. It was 65 degrees, low humidity, and every star was visible, slight breeeze also. With that said, after enduring the first movie, "Rebound" I think??, I wasn't completely happy or disappointed with FF. Maybe it was the just being at the drive-in on such a beautiful night, but it was okay, not great, not bad. Of course it's really hard to judge a movie from the drive-in experience, bad SQ and bad PQ. The FM station they run the sound through was really noisy on the high-end, so even with it playing through the Polk components(MMC 6500) and the Phoenix sub sounded sub par. I'll not pass any judgement on the movie until I either see it at a theater or on DVD.
Just had to say it was really nice to take my 7 yr old son to his first drive-in movie on such a perfect night. There are just so few drive-ins left and it's an all-to-fast fading forum to enjoy a movie at. I grew up going to the drive-ins in Memphis, TN. The Summer Ave drive-in was the BOMB when I was a kid. We would go several times a month and it was just a blast. Not very many people under 30 have even seen a drive-in much less gone to a movie at one. If there's one within driving distance of where you live, I highly suggest you take in a movie at one. It's definitely old school in a good way.

I saw the first Back to the Future in a drive-in theater. They are fun to go to. Unfortunately, drive-ins, like you said, are rare nowadays......There's only one left near my house (I think).Receiver: harmankardon AVR235
