you guys do realise you're being huge **** about this, right?

rodney - this HU will be less expensive and of much much better quality. i dunno about the ipod thing, but if you do a little looking around pioneer's site, you can find their ipod hookup kit. then, since that'll take a bite out of the budget, use this headunit and you'll STILL get better quality than the audiobahn, plus your ipod capabilities.

if the pioneers don't appeal to you, check out alpine and kenwood as well - both of those companies will also offer better products at the same price point. do some looking around, you'll find what you need.

oh, and if you need a list of a couple places to start looking: go here.

that's why i quit my job so i don't have to put up with audiobahn flip-outs and audiobahn this, audiobahn that... audiobahn pisses me off therefore I can be an a** to anyone now.

our manager though the flip-outs were going to be totally sweet...

maybe if those flames on it simulated a fireplace and put out real heat in the winter I would consider buying audiobahn.

I hear ya man... that's why you'll find me on the home audio side of things instead of car like I used to be in the past. But Home has it's issues as well (DAMN YOU HTIB'S!). But at least no one wants chrome everything with 4 15's and a pair of "tweets."

under my stream of urine is more fitting. But it has to be installed in someone's car while I'm pissing on it...just to prove my point a little more. "Hey man, what do you think of my new setup??"

It was not at all my intention to be rude. After looking at my post again, I can see that it wasn't exactly helpful, though I did answer your original question.

However, what Neo says is right: look at Pioneer, Pioneer Premier, Alpine, Kenwood, Panasonic. You'll get a lot better quality out of one of their HUs for about the same amount of dough.

Let us know what you get.

And if you have any questions regarding the rest of your set-up, just ask; we'll be glad to help. As you can hopefully see by looking at past threads, we're usually pretty good about being helpful.

    :)

Yeah, but for every moron that wants 4 15's with chome tweeters you have just as many that want the $200, RCA home theater set ups.

There are still plenty manufacturers out there with SQ as their primary goal.

    MB Quart
    Image Dynamics
    JL Audio
    Polk Audio
    DLS
    Xtant
    Boston Acoustic

    Audison
    Focal
    Morel
    Tru
    Diamond Audio
    Arc Audio
    Alpine
