sep. amp/remote question..

Just picked up LSi9' and am planning to use them with a seperate amp connected to my receiver.

As I look for amps I see some w/remote control and some w/o.

Does my pre-amp in my receiver control the volume or if I get an amp w/o a remote do I lose remote control on my LSi9's?

    Yes the receiver controls the volume.
