Is it thermal or is it dead?

If an amp went thermal (the C300.2) to be exact. How does one reset it?
I have a C300.2 driving a MM2154 15" sub (single voice coil). The amp is running bridged - 1 channel. Without any warning, the sub just stopped working. Checked all the wires and fuses. Getting power to everything. The amp even powers up. But it doesn't do anything other than have a blue LED right now.
This is the second C300.2 amp in three weeks - and I'm not very pleased. The amp isn't under powered for this sub - as the sub's working range is 75W - 400W. The amp is 550W @ 1 channel bridged - with 850W peak power.
If it went thermal -- is there an internal reset? How do I get to it?
I'm starting to think that Polk maybe wasn't the best choice of audio.... please tell me that I'm just over reacting.
