I recently asked for opinions on the 8's vs. the 10's. My intension was to update to the 10's. Upon hearing your responses, I decided to sell my 8's and bought the 10's. Understand I really liked the 8's. I run a Jolida 1501-RC and a mmf -cd 25. The 8's had good mids, great highs, and ok base. The mids sounded a little to pronounced and dominated the sound just a little. Where the 8'd shined are "The Wall", Dark Side of the Moon", Peter Gabriel, Lenny Kravits. I went with the 10's because they seem a little more balanced, meaning the high and mids are smoother. I am hearing background instruments more clearly. There is more base and a lower cleaner base also. I ran a PSW 404 sub with the 8's and it is not as necessary with music now. I still use it because that is what I like. The 10's look tougher also. I am very pleased. I will say this has opened the door to more power. I think the 10's will be even better with more power. It never ends......................

Congrats PRC! Don't mean to say that we told you so, but, we told you so!

You are running the exact same integrated that I am with my RT2000i pair.

Honestly, I think the RTi10 would benefit from a more powerful amp.

My Jolida hybrid is a brand spankin' new model and they now have a full set of pre-outs. Does your's have these also? If so, you can hit them with a more powerful SS amp and yet still keep the tubed pre-amp section of your Jolida.

    Just an idea.
