Welton speakers????

I have a question to ask before I head to the house. I'll read the answers in the morning.

Has anyone heard of Welton tower speakers? Somebody in Indy is selling his whole system and lists the speakers as Welton 300 watt towers. I did a search and couldn't really find anything on them at all. One site listed Welton as a vendor at an audio trade show and that was about it.

Have a lovely evening all.

i never heard of the name myself, but if their described as 300 watt towers, i get a funny white vane vibe out of it. I could be wrong, but if Doro wrote "garage", i might be on the right track here :D

Here's how the ad is written:

    "STEREO HI-FI Pioneer classic, SX-1980, RT-901, CT-F1250, SR-60, DT-400, Dual 1219, 300w Welton towers, music collection. accessories, one owner, mint condition, $2750."

Seems very proud of his gear. Is all that worth anywhere close to that? I'm sure alot will be determined by the "vague" music collection part of the deal????

They suck, plain and simple. I'd rather go deaf than listen to crappy speakers.

A troll is an ignorant person who comes on the forums just to stir up crap. If you look around some you will see this is a mid-hifi audio discussion forum. It is not all about polk audio. So how do those weltons sound? Do they have a nice sound stage with decent depth, or is it more like it's coming from each speaker? Here we all talk and give opinions, as some stated above, but just because you don't agree with what some one else said doesn't mean you have to trash them. If you're a tech, that means you're an adult, now act like one in stead of hiding behind a screen and trying to be barny bad ****, 'cause all yous doin' is lookin' like a fool. < no disrespect meant, just some criticism.

Timothy you have no room too talk your state is trying to call it's self the mitten state????? I don't get it. The state is not even close to the shape of a mitten, well, unless all of you have some really messed up looking hands. If it is because it is cold, well I think Dakota's have you guy's beat.

Who says WI is the mitten state?

Everyone who grew up in Michigan (like me) knows that the Upper Peninsula is rabbit jumping over the Lower Peninsula which is a mitten.

And that the best ginger ale is Vernor's (accept no substitutes).

I see all the comments here about this product and as most all forums anywhere else online we will have trolls that have opinions about a product.
When I read some one post they are junk and dis this product all I can say you are so busted by what you say because it shows you have never been near this product.
I have owned the Welton PS27-1 speakers for over 10 years and enjoy the clear production and sound quality of these towers. They have been hits at parties and people have ask for them.
At just 100 watts these speakers will flood a large room or field with crisp clear sound from the pounding bass to the chalk board scratching clarity of the horns. I have maxed the wattage at 200 watts without any deterioration in the quality .
This is my experience with the Welton model ps27-1 and I am satisfied.
BTW I have a 5.1 (with an added 100watt sub) 1000 watt surround sound that does not come close to the sound of my Welton towers.

the chalk board scratching clarity of the horns.

Sounds wonderful because we all like to hear something scratched across a chalk board. Hope they use your comment for the "white van" literature the next time someone approaches me in a grocery store parking lot or gas station to sell me a pair.

Rock on with your crappy speakers dude!
